Toy breed dogs and puppies are cute and cudly, until they develop nasty habits that give them bad reputations!
Toy dogs have certain behaviors that develop due to the lack of self confidence, lack of
socialization and when their needs of security are not met.
Unfortunately, some human companions feel that it is not necessary to educate the little ones since they are so easily controled by just picking them up.
These problems manifest themselves with excessive barking, biting and snapping, "little dog syndrome", house training, resource guarding and agression.
Some pet dog trainers don't
understand the toy dog breeds and problems arise in their group classes and in-home consultations.
Many of these problems may just be annoying, but others could cost them their lives either by being surrendered or becoming pray to a larger dog who has been given the wrong information by the little dog.
